Busker to idol: Crystal Bowersox continues to ride her wave of popularity from her stint on ‘American Idol’

Crystal Bowersox is taking a page from blues legend B.B. King.

She performs about 300 shows a year.

“It’s just the way I like it,” she says during a recent interview from San Francisco. “He’s built a career where he enjoys touring. I do, too. I like meeting new people and seeing new places.”

Bowersox has come a long way since busking in the streets of Chicago. The “American Idol” alum has built a loyal following in music.
